This book is a regimental history of the Georgia 5th Infantry Regiment. This regiment served first in Florida, then in Tennessee, Mississippi, Chattanooga, the Atlanta Campaign, the Carolinas Campaign, and surrendered at Goldsboro, NC.

The GA 5th Infantry Regiment was made up of the following companies:
