The 1st US Colored Troops Infantry Regiment was organized at Camp Hamilton, Va., December 22, 1863.
Organized in the District of Columbia May 19 to June 30, 1863. Regiment lost during service 4 Officers and 67 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 113 Enlisted men by disease. Total 185.
