South Carolina 4th Cavalry Battalion

In the summer of 1862, this battalion was merged with the Cavalry Battalion of Hampton's Legion to form the SC 2nd Cavalry Regiment. Officers:
LT. COL. FRANK HAMPTON - Brother of Wade Hampton. Killed in Action, Brandy Station by a Sabre Cut. Assignments:
