The following newspapers are available at the Furman University - Duke Library on microfilm and may be requested via inter library loan. These are all specific to South Carolina and Baptist Churches. The papers have been indexed and the index is available in a card catalog of the Special Collections, but is not accessible on line. The index is approximately 100 drawers by 1,000 cards or an estimated 100,000 records. [my estimate] It is common for these papers to include notes of marriages, births, deaths, etc. state wide and submitted articles by individuals and reports of church activities with member lists.
