HISTORICAL NOTES:
The Fourth New Jersey Militia Regiment was organized at Trenton, New Jersey.
April 27, 1862. It mustered in for three months service.
May 3 Left State for Annapolis, Maryland.
May 5 Reported to General Butler
May 6 Arrived Washington, D.C.
May 24 Occupation of Arlington Heights, Virginia.
July 16 Advance on Manassas, Va.
The regiment was in reserve and suffered no casualties.
July 31 The Fourth New Jersey Militia Regiment mustered out.
