The Baltimore Light Infantry (also known as Dix Light Infantry) was organized in Baltimore, Maryland, between November and December 1861, primarily serving in the Department of Maryland. Comprising five companies under General John A. Dix, it was consolidated into two companies and transferred to the 3rd Maryland Infantry on May 24, 1862. ROSTERS:
