Historical Notes HISTORICAL NOTES:
The Maryland 12th Infantry Regiment was organized at Baltimore, Md., for 100 days, July 30, 1864. On guard duty along Baltimore & Ohio Railroad between Baltimore, Md., and Kearneysville, Va., till November, 1864. Mustered out November 14, 1864.

The 12th lost 2 by disease during service.
