Historical Notes HISTORICAL NOTES:
The 4th Regiment, Maryland Infantry, Potomac Home Brigade (Union) failed to complete organization. Three Companies organized and on duty guarding Baltimore & Ohio Railroad between Martinsburg and Harper's Ferry, W. Va., till August, 1862. It was consolidated with 3rd Regiment, Potomac Home Brigade Infantry, August 11, 1862. ROSTERS:
The roster of this unit contains the names of 351 men. They are not included with the roster of the 3rd Regiment, Potomac Home Brigade Infantry. We have included them with the Historical Sketch book for the 3rd Infantry Potomac Home Brigade. BIBLIOGRAPHY:
