Mandeville, Major St. Clare
Major St Clare MANDEVILLE. He was born about 1835, place not known. He died 31 Oct 1868/1870 in New Orleans. He married Frances Howland BARTLETT 20 Jan 1866, place of marriage not known.
His wife Francis Howland BARTLETT then took their 2 children (Santa Clare MANDEVILLE born 22 Sep 1867 in New Orleans and Francesca MANDEVILLE born 11 Oct 1868 in New Orleans) to Perth Amboy, New Jersey where both children died within 3 months of each other (6 Jul 1872 and 26 Mar 1872) and had both children buried in Monroeton, Bradford County, Penn. Neither the wife nor any of her siblings or ancestors has any known connection to Louisianna, New Jersey or Pennsylvania!
