The 1st Regiment, Indiana Heavy Artillery ws organized at Indianapolis, Ind., July 24, 1861, as 21st Indiana Infantry.

Regiment lost during service 7 Officers and 60 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 3 Officers and 320 Enlisted men by disease. Total 390. Officers OFFICERS:
