HISTORICAL NOTES:
The 125th Illinois Infantry was organized at Danville, Illinois, and mustered in September 3, 1862. They marched to Washington, D.C., via Richmond, Virginia, April 29-May 19. Grand Review May 24. They mustered out June 9, 1865, and were discharged from service.
The Regiment lost during service 9 Officers and 88 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 3 Officers and 104 Enlisted men by disease. Total 204.
