Arkansas 7th Cavalry Regiment


HISTORICAL NOTES:
The Arkansas 7th Cavalry Regiment on July 25, 1863, by adding independent companies to J. F. Hill's Arkansas Cavalry Battalion. Many former members of the 10th Arkansas Militia Regiment joined this regiment

The Regiment served in General Cabell's Brigade, Trans-Mississippi Department, and fought at Poison Spring, Marks' Mills, Pine Bluff, and Dardanelle. Later it was active in Price's Missouri raid and included in the surrender at Galveston, Texas. .
