Historical Notes:
The 1st Regiment, Tennessee Independent Vidette Cavalry (Union) organized Companies "A," "B," "C," "G" and "H" at Stevenson and Bridgeport, Ala., September 10, 1863, to April 26, 1864. Companies "D," "E" and "F" at Tracy City and Nashville, Tenn., December 9, 1863, to February 24, 1864. It mustered out June 16, 1864. Officers:
