At the Reorganization, April 12, 1862, Company K of the twelve months establishment, became Company A of the new establishment.
The following muster rolls of the Company are available and from them the succeeding roster thereof has been compiled: November 1, and December 31, 1862; April 30, June 30, August 31, and December 31, 1863; June 30, August 31, October 31, and December 31, 1864, and February 28, 1865.
The muster roll of December 31, 1863, contains the following comment:
"Transferred from the dept of Va & N. C. to the dept of the West Sept 14-63, arrived at Chattanooga about 22d. Sept 1863. Marches from Chattanooga November 5-63 & arrives at Knoxville about 20th Nov-63 Marches from Knoxville Dec 5-63. skirmishes with the enemy at Beans Station Dc 15-63 arrives at Morristown about 12th Sept."
This company surrendered 5 officers and 18 privates at Appomattox.
