Col. Rivers, in his account of the raising of the troops in SC, has a blank ________ for the County name for the raising of Company K. The Captain of this Company was H. C. Byrd, but other than that, there's virtually nothing on this Company that I have found.. Crute lists the following counties for the regiment, but does not specify what companies were formed from each: Richland, Union, Lexington, Kershaw, Fairfield, and Williamsburg.
