Bryan served in the SC 19th Infantry Regiment, Company F. He is buried in the Ridge Spring Cemetery, Hwy 23, Ridge Spring, SC.

Walker, Capt. George E. (1827 - 15 SEP 1863)

Capt. Walker was from Richland County. He served in the Engineering Corps. Broken Fortunes gives his date of death as 9 SEP 1863.


Capt. Geo. E. Walker, a native of So. Ca. and Engineer in the Confederate service, died in Columbus Geo. of sore throat, on the 15th September 1863. Capt'n Walker was a young man, of much energy of character, distinguished in his profession, and is a great loss to his State and the Confederacey. His death was caused from putrid sore throat.
