Marshall, Thomas Parks ( - 15 SEP 1863)
Tho's. Parks Marshall, of Col'a So. Ca., son of John F. Marshall dec'd, died of Congestive Fever, near the battle ground of Chickamauga in Georgia. He was in the service of the Confederacy, had escaped in several battles in Virginia, and closed his career far way from home and friends. May God sustain his disconsolate mother and affectionate sister in this sad bereavement. [note in margin:] His body was sent from Georgia, and buried in the Baptist Graveyard on Novr. 1st, 1863.
Thomas was a member of the 3rd South Carolina Volunteer Infantry, Company E.. He was from Newberry County.
