Abram was born at Beaufort SC and is buried at Roseland Plantation, Ridgeland, SC.
1861 Palmetto Guard, Kershaw's Regiment Beaufort District Troop
1862 Charleston Light Dragoons, 4th S.C. Light Calvary
1863 Quartermaster, 1st Battalion S.C. Sharpshooters, 27th S.C. Volunteer Infantry. Joined the staff of Gen. McLaws @ Savannah, Ga.
At the war's end he held the rank of Capt. of Calvary
