H. was from Marion County. The Danville list states that H. served in "Grigg's Artillery". Broken Fortunes identifies his unit as McQueen's Light Artillery. The Marion County site for the USGenWeb Project states that he served in The 8th Infantry Regiment - Co. H. H. died in the Danville, VA Hospital. The Marion County site states that H. died in 1861. Broken Fortunes gives 1862 as the year of death.
