Historical Notes:
The 19th (George's) Cavalry Battalion, organized during the late summer of 1863, totalled 350 effectives in October. It served in the Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana, then early in 1864 disbanded. Some of its members joined the 5th Mississippi Cavalry Regiment.Officers:
