HISTORICAL NOTES:

    The Kentucky 33rd Infantry Regiment was organized at Munfordsville, Ky., September 13, 1862. The Regiment lost during service 22 by disease.

    Attached to District of Western Kentucky, Dept. of the Ohio, to April, 1863. 2nd Brigade, District of Central Kentucky, Dept. of Ohio, to June, 1863. Unattached, Munfordsville, Ky., 1st Division, 23rd Army Corps, Army of Ohio, to August, 1863. Unattached, 2nd Division, 23rd Army Corps, to October, 1863. District of South Central Kentucky, 1st Division, 23rd Army Corps, to January, 1864. District of Southwest Kentucky, Dept. of Ohio, to April, 1864.

SERVICE:

    Companies "C" and "G" participated in the siege of Munfordville , Ky., and Woodsonville, Ky., September 13-17, 1862, and captured. Regiment on duty at Munfordsville, Ky., and on line of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad and Lebanon Branch Railroad till April, 1864. Consolidated with 26th Kentucky Infantry April 1, 1864.
