HISTORICAL NOTES:

    The Kentucky 12th Cavalry Regiment was organized at Caseyville and Owensboro, Ky., November 17, 1862.

    The regiment lost during service 3 Officers and 22 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 4 Officers and 204 Enlisted men by disease. Total 233.
