The following note appears with the roster:
In December 1861, this company ("Irwin Invincibles," afterwards "Henry Light Infantry"), was ordered from West Virginia to Georgia by the Secretary of War. It arrived in Ga. January 12, 1862, and went into camp near Savannah, Ga. and was assigned to the 25th Regiment Ga. Inf. On May 2, 1862, a number of the members of companies E, and K, were transferred to form 2d Co. I, 38th Regiment Ga. Inf., which became 2d Co. A,60th Regiment Ga. Inf. February 28 or March 1, 1863, and Co. K, 61st Regiment Ala. Inf. April 11, 1864. This company appears to have ceased to exist May 2, 1862 , but a number of the members are accounted for at later dates. Commands to which they were transferred were not given.
The above info. would have been written by Mrs. Henderson (probably) in the mid 1900's. Sometime she quotes original sources, but not always, and she does not cite a particular source paper for her notes.

My husband has a number of ancestors who were in the Irwin Invincibles, also known as Henry Light Infantry and Liberty Volunteers, of Henry County, Alabama, who were apparently later a part of the 25th Georgia Infantry, Company E. They are: George F. Fleming, James C. Money, Stewart Money and John Whitehead.
