First Families of McDonough and Henry County, GA
This is an on-going project to research and publish information on the first families of Henry County, Georgia. Today Henry county has a population approaching 200,000.
This project focuses on the families who were in the area prior to 1830.
We have identified 693 surnames making up the 10,000 people living in Henry county in 1830. As all of these families were first or second generation in Henry County when the war came, we have included these Historical Sketch and Roster volumes which included men from Henry County:
