Historical Notes:
Johnson's Horse Artillery Battery was also known as Colcock's Section Horse Artillery. It is listed in the Grahamville Sub-District in the Official Records Vol XXVIII Part II, pg. 602 in a report dated Dec. 31, 1863. Colcock's artillery is mentioned for its service at the battle of Honey Hill in the Southern Historical Society Papers, Vol. XIII Pg. 355.
