The muster roll of October 31, 1862, contains the following "Record of Events":
"This company marched from Leesburg into Maryland via Frederick, and participated in the storming of Maryland Heights. Thence to Sharpsburg and was engaged in the battle 17th Sept., it then recrossed into Virginia and camped near Winchester until 31st Octr. and moved to this camp near Culpeper C. H."
The muster roll of December 31, 1862, contains the following "Record of Events":
"This company left near Culpeper C. H. Novr. 18th and after a hurried march of three days reached this point, Fredericksburg, 21stult. Was doing picket duty along the river before the battle came on - Was located along the line of battle from 11th inst till 13th when the regiment was ordered to the support of Cobb's Brigade. The company went in under a severe fire from heavy columns of the enemy - but suffered no loss of life - one was wounded. After the battle closed for the day we remained in position till morning of 16th - when we were deployed as skirimishers and moved forward into town - finding the town vacated by the enemy - since then we have been doing picket duty along the river."
The muster roll of February 28, 1863, has the following "Record of Events":
"This company was camped on the Telegraph Road near Fredericksburg until about 10th Jany when the Regt was moved to this (camp Longstreet)
The Regiment had been doing picket duty in Fredericksburg till it was moved to this camp when it was relieved of such duty.
On 17th inst it was detailed to go into town for six days to relieve Barksdale's men on picket duty; but this regmt was relieved on 19th and returned to camp."
The muster roll of October 31, 1863, contains the following "Record of Events":
"The Company was transferred in Sept 1863 with a portion of Longstreets corps from the Army of Northern Va. to that of Tenn: It was engaged in the Battle of Chickamauga on the 20th of Sept /63."
The pay roll of December 31, 1863, forming a part of the muster roll of that date contains the following comment:
"The company after leaving Knoxville was engaged in the battle of Bean Station, and soon after retired to winter Quarters at Russelville Tenn.
In Nov. it was transfered from the Army of Tenn. to that of East Tenn."
