The Civil War in Mississippi
Smith, Thomas Tristam(? - ?)
I was doing research in our library today and found an old 20-page original hand typed document of Thomas Tristam Smith's memoirs from 1861 - 1865. He was from Greensboro, Mississippi, and served in Co. D, 15th MS, enlisting at age 15 in August 1861. He wrote this in February 1899 for his granddaughter who lived in Rowan County, NC.
