15th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment

Historical Notes:
The 15th Regiment, Michigan Infantry was organized at Detroit, Monroe and Grand Rapids, Michigan, October 16, 1861, to March 13, 1862. It was Mustered in March 20, 1862. The Regiment was mustered out August 18, 1865. The regiment suffered 3 officers and 60 enlisted men who were killed in action or mortally wounded and 4 officers and 268 enlisted men who died of disease, for a total of 335 fatalities. Officers:
