Illinois 137th Infantry Regiment



Historical Notes HISTORICAL NOTES:
The 137th Illinois Infantry was organized at Camp Wood, Quincy, Ill., and mustered in for 100 days June 5, 1864. It was ordered to Memphis, Tenn., June 9.

The Regiment lost during service 1 Officer and 17 Enlisted men killed and mortally wounded and 1 Officer and 31 Enlisted men by disease. Total 50. Reese states that the regiment had 34 casualties.
