Georgia 10th Cavalry Battalion State Guards



HISTORICAL NOTES: The Georgia 10th Cavalry Battalion State Guards was formed in Bartow County. It evidently had 5 companies although a few names appear in Companies F, G, H, I & K. The rosters contain the names of 368 men.

Sam Jones, who became renowned as an evangelist after the war, served in Company D.
