Alderman, John A. (23 JUN 1827 - 29 MAY 1907)
John Served in the 50th Infantry Regiment - Co. H. Private March 4, 1862. Left arm permanently disabled, resulting in partial paralysis, at Fredericksburg, Va. December 13, 1862. In 1903, he resided in Pavo, GA. He died in Colquitt County, GA and is buried in the Sardis Cemetery. His grave contains a Cross of Honor and an Iron Cross.

Alderman, Mitchell James (16 MAR 1838 - 10 MAR 1912)
Mitchell served in the 50th Infantry Regiment - Company H. He joined as a private March 4, 1862. Wounded
through shoulder at Gettysburg, Pa. July 2, 1863. Pension records show he was "Unable to return to duty." (Born in Irwin County, Ga.) He is buried in the Sardis Cemetery in Colquitt County, GA. There is an Iron Cross on his grave.
